Schüco SoundCal allows architects and metal fabricators to quickly and reliably calculate airborne sound reduction values for Schüco units.
Measures for the suppression and spread of noise in the planning of new buildings in urban spaces are increasingly coming to the fore. That's why Schüco has developed SoundCal.
Using this software, architects and metal fabricators can quickly and reliably calculate airborne sound reduction values for Schüco window and façade units. Schüco SoundCal also allows the weighted sound reduction index Rw,res to be determined simply and quickly even for complex units, taking account of their size and division as well as the profile system and glazing.
The user can furthermore compare suitable sound reduction glass and determine the best combinations of frame and glazing. The user even has the opportunity to reproduce the achieved sound reduction effect themselves with the aid of a diagram and audio sample.
Schüco SoundCal can also perform rough calculations of key technical values. The calculations are based on DIN 4109-2:2016-07 and DIN EN 12354. The results of these preliminary calculations are not a substitute for necessary detailed planning and do not constitute proof for building authorities.
