Maximum glazing areas, slim profiles and the convenience of automatic operation – Aluron is expanding its AS 178HS system with the fully concealed Drive Axxent LS drive. Developed in cooperation with SIEGENIA, the solution enables the automation of large and heavy sashes without compromising the minimalist appearance of the construction.
Contemporary architecture is increasingly making use of large-format glazing that connects interiors with terraces and the surrounding environment. However, as the dimensions of lift-and-slide doors increase, so does the importance of convenient operation. Aluron’s new Drive Axxent LS drive, designed for AS 178HS constructions, is a response to these needs.
The automation system was developed through cooperation between Aluron and SIEGENIA. Its key feature is the complete concealment of the mechanism, meaning that no drive components are visible on the frame or sash profiles. The solution therefore combines smooth automatic operation of large sashes with the minimalist appearance of aluminium joinery.
Automation for Large Constructions
Drive Axxent LS has been designed for demanding lift-and-slide constructions. The drive can operate sashes weighing up to 400 kg, while the maximum construction dimensions can reach 2800 mm in height and 6800 mm in width. For sashes weighing up to 250 kg, the maximum sliding speed is 140 mm/s. User comfort is further enhanced by a low, only 5-mm-high running track, which supports the design of barrier-free solutions.
The standard configuration also includes three locking points, increasing the security and airtightness of the construction. The complete set also includes a dedicated power supply unit for an electrical box and a service key. Thanks to the concealed drive, Aluron AS 178HS lift-and-slide doors retain a consistent, elegant appearance, with no visible automation components on the outside of the frame.
The Perfect Complement to AS 178HS Systems
Drive Axxent LS has been integrated with Aluron’s proprietary solutions – AS 178HS PRO SLIM and AS 178HS MODERN. The discreet automation system complements the slim profiles of both variants without disrupting their minimalist character or reducing the clear opening. Combining the automatic drive with an aluminium system optimised for thermal and structural performance makes it possible to create large HST doors that remain easy to operate even when fitted with heavy triple-glazed units.
Simplified Prefabrication
The new solution has been developed with the needs of window and door manufacturers in mind. One of its key advantages is the simplification of the prefabrication process. The optimised shape of the components reduces the number of required milling operations, which can shorten the machining time for aluminium profiles. Intuitive installation reduces the risk of production errors and facilitates the efficient completion of orders. The manufacturer also receives a single fabrication diagram – Diagram A in a symmetrical configuration.
Ordering via AluronCad
The ordering process for Drive Axxent LS has been integrated into AluronCad software. The solution is designed to ensure technological accuracy and reduce the risk of dimensional discrepancies when preparing constructions. As part of the cooperation programme developed by Aluron for manufacturers and dealers of aluminium joinery, the drive is available at a net price of PLN 9,900* per customer.
The new drive further expands the capabilities of the AS 178HS system, combining large-format aluminium constructions with automation that remains almost completely invisible.
