TUROMAS, a company based in Rubielos de Mora and specialising in the manufacture of machinery for the storage, loading and cutting of flat glass, has officially presented its €1.5 million investment project to regional and provincial authorities. The initiative aims to consolidate the company’s industrial growth, enhance its production capacity and reinforce its long-term development strategy.

The presentation took place during a recent visit to TUROMAS’ facilities by Manuel Blasco, Minister for the Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon; Joaquín Juste, President of the Provincial Council of Teruel; Miguel Tellado, Secretary General of the Popular Party; and other local authorities, who were given a first-hand overview of the company’s expansion plans.

The investment project, subject to obtaining support from the Just Transition Fund and the FITE (Investment Fund of Teruel), includes the construction of a new 2,000-square-metre industrial warehouse that will house a new production line. In addition, TUROMAS plans to modernise its office facilities, adapting them to the needs of a company with an increasingly strong international presence. These measures will allow the company to increase production capacity, optimise industrial processes and improve coordination between departments.

The plan also foresees the creation of new companies within the TUROMAS group, underlining a clear commitment to diversification and the generation of industrial synergies. Among these initiatives is the launch of a new company dedicated to the manufacture of complementary glass and metal products, which will further expand the group’s portfolio of solutions.

These actions are being developed within the framework of TUROMAS’ recognition as a Project of Regional Interest by the Government of Aragon. This distinction highlights the company’s strategic importance for the region’s industrial, economic and technological development, as well as its role as a driving force in the Gúdar-Javalambre area and a generator of skilled employment.

The investment is expected to result in the creation of 15 new direct jobs and to boost indirect employment among local service and manufacturing providers, such as electricians, machinists and auxiliary workshops. These suppliers may need to increase their workforce by an estimated 25–30% to meet the anticipated growth in demand.

Through this initiative, TUROMAS reaffirms its commitment to the industrial development of rural areas, sustainability and innovation. At the same time, the company confirms its intention to actively participate in the Government of Aragon’s support programmes, recently updated to allow the inclusion of key industrial projects such as TUROMAS within the Just Transition Fund and the FITE, ensuring that the investment plan can be fully implemented within the current financial year.
