A+W presented a custom glass table in the shape of its logo — designed and fabricated together with Kensington Glass Arts — during GlassBuild America 2025.
At GlassBuild America 2025, A+W aimed to showcase something truly distinctive in its booth. The company envisioned its iconic A+W logo not only as a visual element on the wall, but transformed into a functional centerpiece: a glass table that embodied the brand’s identity.
This table became more than furniture — it served as a reflection of A+W’s values: precision, innovation, and bold thinking. Kensington Glass Arts (KGa) was the natural partner for bringing this idea to life.
The Partnership: A+W and Kensington Glass Arts
Kensington has been part of the A+W family since 2008, known for its expertise in complex architectural glass projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. From high-end interiors to detailed façades, Kensington consistently delivers high-precision craftsmanship.
Precision, such as on this Intermac Genius lami cutter, is at the heart of every cut on the Kensington Glass Arts shop floor. The same attention to detail
that powers large architectural projects also makes one-of-a-kind custom pieces possible — including the A+W logo table built for GlassBuild 2025.

When A+W approached Jim Rathbone and Ryan Heilman at Kensington Glass Arts with the challenge of turning the A+W logo into a trade-show-ready glass table, the team immediately agreed.
As they noted: We were pleased to be selected by A+W to work on this project, considering the many clients A+W supports in this industry. We’ve valued our collaboration and the ways A+W has helped enhance our capabilities — and we hope this continues long into the future.
From Concept to CAD
The concept was simple: a dramatic showpiece that showcased A+W’s identity. The execution, however, required engineering precision. Creating a stable, durable table in the exact shape of the A+W logo was no small task.
With the logo fully masked, a technician applies a smooth, even coat of paint across the glass surface. Each pass of the spray gun is deliberate,
laying down the foundation of the bold finish that will ultimately make the logo stand out as the centerpiece of the custom table

After carefully spraying the first layers of paint, the stencil is removed to reveal the sharp, clean lines of the A+W logo. This step showcases
the precision of both the etching and masking process, ensuring that the colors pop exactly where they should without bleed or distortion

Kensington’s team meticulously planned every detail using A+W Business and Production — from the tabletop and legs to the structural backing. Once dimensions were finalized, the team ensured each component fit flawlessly. Although the finished product looked clean and minimalistic, the underlying technical work was extensive.
The Fabrication Process
Transforming the CAD design into a finished piece combined digital precision with expert craftsmanship:
» Cutting – A Bystronic table cut the glass to the precise contours of the logo.
» CNC Shaping – An Intermac CNC refined complex geometries and edges.
» Polishing – A Schiatti Straight Line Polisher added clarity and brilliance.
» Tempering – Components were tempered in a Glaston furnace.
» Backpainting – Classic Glass & Stone completed the multi-step process: etching, masking, applying blue paint, and finishing with crisp white details for bold contrast.
» Metal Backing – Chillum Sheet Metal provided the precision metalwork, essential for structural support.
» Assembly – All components were combined, including carefully engineered legs designed to keep the table stable despite the irregular logo shape.
Designing safe, tip-resistant legs proved to be one of the project’s biggest engineering challenges — but the final solution balanced both aesthetics and safety.
The finished table achieved exactly what A+W envisioned: a clear, polished showpiece expressing clarity, strength, and precision — the same principles guiding A+W software.
More Than a Table – A Symbol of Innovation
Although it appeared simple at first glance, the table symbolized the power of combining advanced software with expert craftsmanship. Each cut, polish, and design decision represented the shared philosophy driving A+W and its customers: with the right tools and the right people, anything is possible.
Where It Was Shown
The logo table made its debut at A+W’s new booth at GlassBuild America 2025, held November 4–6 in Orlando, FL. Visitors had the opportunity to admire its craftsmanship up close — and Kensington Glass Arts hoped that every detail would be noticed.
For A+W, this project highlighted the strength of long-standing partnerships and showcased the creativity possible when teams collaborate across technology and fabrication.
Ultimately, it wasn’t just a table. It was a symbol of innovation, partnership, and a touch of fun — and a memorable highlight of GlassBuild America 2025.
