Door manufacturers expect hinges to be easy to process and convenient to adjust. Six-way adjustability is the current state of the art. In addition to a high-quality surface finish – ideally available in all RAL colors and anodized – maintenance-free operation under high loads is also expected.
The new Hahn hinge systems for uPVC doors in the Hahn KT-RV and Hahn KT-RN series meet these expectations right from market launch. Nevertheless, the hinge specialists from Mönchengladbach identified an opportunity to further simplify on-site installation. In the future, adjustment of the sealing pressure will be possible directly on the mounted door leaf in both series.
This means that one person can align the door element on-site. The adjustment range is +/- 0.7 mm. Removing the door leaf is no longer necessary. Permissible door weights depend on the specific profile situation.
The Hahn hinges have been tested with door leaf weights of 120 kg (2-part version) and 160 kg (3-part version), making them suitable for the most common applications. High load capacities have been confirmed through CE testing according to EN 1935:2002.
Both hinge series also demonstrated burglary resistance in SKG certification tests. The Dutch testing institute awarded 2 stars, confirming that the hinges meet at least the requirements for doors with RC2 classification.
