FAKRO once again attended the European Economic Congress in Katowice. Topics covered during the meeting included the most important areas of the economy, directions of social development, key phenomena and trends for the future.
Paweł Dziekoński, Vice President of FAKRO, took part in the panels: Global aspirations of Polish businesses and Energy efficiency in construction. During the Congress, FAKRO was given the “Investor without Borders” award for successful implementation of its foreign expansion policy. The award was received by Janusz Komurkiewicz, FAKRO Board Member for Marketing.
Important issues regarding the investment potential of Polish companies were raised during the Global aspirations of Polish businesses panel. The panellists also discussed the current international situation and trends that affect Polish entrepreneurs. An important aspect of the debate was the support and reconstruction of Ukraine in the context of the ongoing war.
Another important panel attended by a representative of FAKRO titled Energy efficiency in construction addressed aspects related to the new energy efficiency standards in construction as well as the current condition of buildings in terms of their energy consumption. The cost of comprehensive thermal modernisation of buildings and the need for support programs were discussed.
As part of the event, Paweł Dziekoński was interviewed in the studio of Daily Legal Newspaper about the company’s expansion into foreign markets and its presence in the United States.
FAKRO also won the “Investor without Borders” award in the category of Polish investors abroad, pursuing bold, effective foreign expansion strategies. Janusz Komurkiewicz received the award on behalf of FAKRO during the official gala.
The European Economic Congress was held at the International Congress Centre in Katowice on 7-9 May 2024.
