Two systems perfectly combined with each other, both visually and technically. Schüco sliding systems can now be shaded with the Aluminium Blind Zip Design Screen (AB ZDS) textile sun shading as a forward-mounted system solution. Externally, this offers effective protection against excessive heat influx, reflecting up to 70 percent of the sun's rays, thereby making an important contribution to saving energy. However, the technology is hidden in the side profile tracks.
The blind is guided by means of zip technology, which works like a zip fastening. This ensures a crease-free and even fabric, with high resistance to weathering and excellent wind stability (wind forces of 9 to 10 on the Beaufort scale). Prepared and made to measure, the system is delivered ready to install and it is quick and easy to do this.
Schüco AB ZDS can be used with the Classic and Panorama sliding systems from Schüco (ASE 60/80.HI, ASE 67 PD and AS PD 75.HI). This means that up to three sun shading units can be connected with one another and they can be controlled separately thanks to a design double-guide track. The blind box is completely concealed either through being plastered in (Intego) or because it is in the building shaft (Quadro). So the sun shading is only visible when it is really needed.
Delivery and installation
For quick and easy installation, Schüco AB ZDS is supplied pre-assembled, all rolled up and ready for installation in a lightweight, closed blind box. The forward-mounted fixing, which is independent from the sliding system, ensures secure installation and the adjustment device for the building attachment enables easier equalisation of tolerances. A standard tool is sufficient for this.
Sun shading blind
The textile sun shading fabric offers a large selection of fabric types and colour options, providing plenty of opportunity for personalisation. Depending on the nature of the fabric and the fabric opening (0 to 10 percent) different needs can be fulfilled. From an opaque fabric that affords excellent glare protection and screening to the most transparent textiles that enable a view outside even when the sun shading is fully lowered.
Thanks to the zip technology and a drop bar that is installed and concealed at the bottom end, the fabric is smooth and crease-free, thereby guaranteeing a high-quality look to the building. At the same time this ensures that the fabric is clamped on four sides for the best stability. It can resist wind speeds of 25 m/s, even in large-scale sliding systems up to a maximum width of 18 metres. All the fabrics are very low maintenance, resistant to tearing and weathering, and are also flame retardant.
Drive
The Schüco AB ZDS sun shading in front of ASE/AS is operated with a 230 V drive and has integrated obstacle detection. It is integrated in the building automation and can be controlled via smartphone or tablet (even from afar).
