New beginnings for RENOLIT Belgium: after 55 years, it's time for a new location in Oudenaarde. Since the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony in March this year, construction work has been in full swing.
The new building is being constructed by the Belgian construction company Willy Naessens Industriebouw on behalf of the real estate developer REAL. A modern, energy-efficient building is now being constructed on the site of a former textile-distribution center that was destroyed by fire. RENOLIT products are also used during construction: RENOLIT ALKORPLAN roofing membrane ensures a watertight, durable, and reliable flat roof.
The building comprises 10,000m2, eight loading docks, innovative logistics facilities, and comfortable offices. RENOLIT will rent office and logistics space here in the future. The move is scheduled for January 2026.
What it will look like: the new building for RENOLIT Belgium in Oudenaarde
RENOLIT has been present in the De Bruwaan industrial estate in Oudenaarde since the 1970s. But time has taken its toll: the buildings are so outdated efficient work is no longer possible.
We relocated production to the RENOLIT Ibérica site in Spain in 2012 – explains Mario De Clercq, Managing Director of RENOLIT Belgium. – Since then, a sales office and a central warehouse have remained in Oudenaarde. The new building we will be renting will enable us to ensure a more efficient supply chain and even better customer service. In the long term it will allow us to carry out other sales activities.
Rising maintenance costs and environmental regulations made a new building inevitable. In addition, RENOLIT has been sharing the site with Syensqo (a Solvay spin-off) since 2012, which made administration increasingly complex. The well-being of employees also played a key role in the decision to move to a new location.
In 2026, employees of RENOLIT Belgium will move into a modern and sustainable working environment that will also enable further development of local activities.
